
Bronte Heron (they/them) is a poet and writer from Aotearoa, currently living on Jardwadjali and Djab Wurrung Country in Gariwerd, Australia. Their work explores queer ecology, myth, and the politics of care, and has been supported by the Fulbright Foundation, the Lois Roth Foundation, The New School, the Jack Kerouac School for Disembodied Poetics, Sundress Academy for the Arts, Woodward Residency, and Story Inc. Their unpublished manuscript of poetry, Nighttime Gardener, was shortlisted for the 2025 Kathleen Grattan Poetry Award.
